The SPGs project has profoundly changed many youth participants. In particular V., a very shy boy who was afraid to express his opinions in public, for fear of being judged. The idea of having to speak in front of a group of people terrified him and he often felt overwhelmed by shame. Every activity, every meeting, every discussion was a step towards greater self-awareness; especially during the mobility in Genoa where he learned to confront others more openly and to get out of his comfort zone. If he had not had the opportunity to experience this project, he probably would never have discovered the potential he has inside of him. Thanks to this experience, he feels more prepared to face future challenges, without the fear of showing himself for what he is.
