Travelling abroad as part of the SPG project was very beneficial for me. I discovered Genoa. It is a city I had never been to before. It gave me the opportunity to meet people I might never have met otherwise. I realised that Italians are no different from us, even if we do not come from the same place, and that we share a lot in common. One memory will stay with me for a long time: when we found ourselves on top of a hill with an incredible view of the sea. I told myself that there was more to life than my neighbourhood and its tower blocks. I said to myself that one day I’d like to live somewhere close to the sea.
